The work was completed well. However, the communication was not efficient. I received many updates, but every time the pick-up date came around, I received an update that it would be delayed a few days. Which is certainly fine, I understand things happen, but this was repeated 4 - 5 times. Once I came in to pick up my vehicle, someone else’s rear bumper was installed, with that person’s license plate. If I didn’t say anything, they would have let me drive off. They also forgot to replace a sticker/badge. So I had to wait at the shop while they did that, and located my bumper to install. In the end, the work was done well and the truck looks great. Just need better communication and quality control.

They were very thorough and texted me throughout the week of my repair to let me know where they were in the repair process and they actually had my vehicle ready on time and it looks great!

I loved how they gave daily updates. I can’t remember the lady name but when we picked up the car she was so friendly and very knowledgeable.

My Experience

I overall had a great experience. I do have a few suggestions. First, when a client enters the front facility, it would be nice if someone acknowledges they have entered and let them know someone will be with them soon. Both at the time of the initial estimate and at pick up I entered, and was visible to staff in shallow ‘cubicles’ directly behind the front counter, and not a single person acknowledged me. Both times I honestly was unsure if I was in the ‘right place’ since it was clear the person in the desk directly behind the customer service desk saw me, and I am sure others certainly heard the front door open/my keys on the counter. I felt like I had entered an ‘office space’ and not a customer service desk. I could hear multiple people, and visibly see a few (about 5 feet away from me) conversing amongst themselves for about 5 minutes and finally had to say ‘excuse me, is this where I get my estimate/pick up my car?’ I don’t mind waiting - but acknowledge you are aware the customer has entered the facility, and let them know someone will be with them - it is not only good customer service, it confirms to the customer they are in the right place (which can be confusing since the front building is fairly new). Both times I was the only customer present. Secondly, the ‘final bill’ that lists the amount billed to the insurance company (and reflects receipt of insurance approval to pay the amount) was sent to my phone via a text notifying me my car was ready for pickup. The form I was presented to sign when I arrived to pickup the car showed the billed amount to be $230 more. While I acknowledge the form stated I owe ‘$0’, I was concerned because the final contract detailing the amount Auto Owners agreed to pay - a form I was emailed to sign - reflected the lower balance that I had been texted. At pickup, the service representative explained the final estimate had not yet been called in and approved by Auto Owners Insurance in efforts to ‘get me the car faster’. I was in no rush to receive my car back - I expressed this to the representative who called 2/27/26 to notify me that there would be a delay due to a misunderstanding that the ordered bumper would include it’s sensors. I simply wanted the job done ‘right’. I was very uncomfortable signing any paperwork without final billed amount having been approved by Auto Owners. Third, I was told at drop off by a Crash Champions rep I would be given 24 hours to return the rental car after the car was ready for pickup. I was given an hour. I was notified by Auto Owners that the final day they would be paying for the rental was March 4th, and Auto Owner’s rep acknowledged this date was based on Crash Champions date of completion of March 4th. On March 4th I was told at 2:30p the car would be ready at 4:30p, so I made arrangements to pick up my car and get the rental back to Enterprise before it closed at 6p. This might seem like it should be easy, but I work in Memphis, my son gets out of school at 4p, my daughter gets out of wrestling practice at 5:15p and my son has tutoring at 6p. I am not sure if I was given incorrect information regarding how long I would have the rental after the car was ready when I dropped off the car, or if something changed because the number of days Crash Champions ended up needing to keep my car doubled, but it was an absolute inconvenience.

Excellent quality of repair

Customer Service

I work in the medical field so, for me, the repair is what matters (it’s unfortunate to see patients ignorantly choose mediocre medical professionals over excellent ones due to ‘bedside manner’). I say that to express I would never base my recommendation of Crash Champions based on ‘customer service’. However, I do know there are many out there that would. So I do have a few suggestions: 1. Upon arrival for my ‘insurance adjustment’ appointment and pickup time, no one said a word when I entered (there were multiple team members in ‘shallow cubicles’). I waited, listening to them chat and laugh amongst themselves as I stood there, within some of their view, for about 5 minutes (no other customer was present either of these two visits). A ‘someone will be right with you’ would have been courteous. Both times I felt like I had entered into a private ‘office space’ and actually wondered if I was in the right place. Both times I had to say ‘excuse me, is this where I…?’ Both times I got the impression I ‘wasn’t their problem’ - one member answered, but not in a friendly (or rude) way. 2. I believe insurance has left most of us skeptical and distrusting. The final insurance approved repair total that was sent to me to notify me my car was ready reflected the email the insurance company sent me to sign off on. However, when I picked up the car, the paperwork I was asked to sign listed a total repairs cost that was about $250 more. This made me VERY uncomfortable. I was not at fault for this accident, I did not want to get left with a balance because Crash Champions did not get the new total approved. I relayed my concerns to the front desk representative, and that is when one of the team members from the back (Hannah?) suddenly took interest in my presence. She wasn’t friendly (she wasn’t rude), she ‘matter-of-factly’ stated the paper states I am responsible for $0. I explained, I get that, but it also states more than Crash Champions has received approval for from the insurance company, which makes me very uncomfortable signing (since the insurance company had made me aware I was only approved for the previous total). She goes on to say Crash Champions has a good relationship with Auto Owners and she knows they will approve it, if she thought for a minute they wouldn’t she wouldn’t let me leave with the car before gaining the approval. She said it was done this way to ‘get me my car faster’. I had previously made it clear I was in no hurry (the car was supposed to be completed 5 days prior, but there was a misunderstanding that the bumper was going to come with sensors, so Crash Champions had to await the arrival of the sensors to complete the car) - I only cared that my car was repaired correctly. However it was clear Auto Owners was not happy with the rental car extension, which brings me to my 3rd suggestion. 3. I was told by the same team member (Hannah?) at my initial ‘insurance adjustment’ appointment that when the car repair is complete, I will have 24 hours to return the rental (I was concerned because if I was unable to pick up the car right when it was ready and had to come the next day, I did not want to pay for the rental car). When Crash Champions notified Auto Owners the car would be completed on March 4th, Auto Owners (and Enterprise) notified me the rental was due back March 4th. The car was ready at 4:30p - extremely inconvenient as it gave me a very small window to work around my schedule with.
