Communication was not great throughout the repair process. I had to call multiple times to get updates on the status of my vehicle. The repair was initially estimated to take about four hours, but after dropping my car off at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, it was not ready for pickup until after 12:30 PM the following day. As a result, I needed a rental car for two days instead of one, doubling my rental cost. This was an unexpected expense for what was supposed to be a minor repair and created a financial burden that was not in my budget. I was told the delay occurred because the shop “didn’t realize the mirror would come unpainted.” This was surprising, as every other shop I received a quote from discussed the painting process beforehand and wanted lead time before scheduling the repair so that work could be completed efficiently. Additionally, the estimate itself listed a black mirror as the replacement part, even though my vehicle is white. I specifically questioned this when reviewing the quote in person. Greater attention to detail and better preparation could have prevented this situation. The additional time my vehicle remained in the shop, along with the extra rental car expense I incurred, appears to have been completely avoidable.

From the minute I entered the Gerber shop, I was very impressed. Betsy at the front desk was so helpful, friendly, and efficient. Brandon (my contact) was pleasant, professional, capable, and kept me informed the entire time. The technicians who repaired my car did an excellent job.
