I had a great experience with the main mechanic who worked on my vehicle. Everyone was really pleasant and helpful but the main mechanic I believe his name is Darnell but he was a great help. He made sure I understood and didn’t discourage any questions, when I did have questions he was very detailed and talked to me in a way that I understood but did not belittle me in the process which I really appreciated. He was so cheerful and helpful he made my bad experience with insurance lot better. My vehicle came out like a new car so I am really glad about that as well. Darnell made sure till the last minute to make sure if I had any questions or concerns. He did a final check up with me when I went to pick the vehicle up and made sure if I had any other questions. I would recommend gerber just because of him.

Elizabeth was so kind and caring that I was going to another shop but she helped me so much. I decided to go with your shop then it went right into Darnell and he was amazing. Always keeping me in touch and letting me know what’s going on with the car car was done way sooner than told and it looks amazing.

they extended completion date a week 3 separate times after stating each week that we are on track for current due date completion. They also forgot to attach my antenna back to the car and did not even leave it in the vehicle. They also removed a fuse panel and placed it in the glove box rather than putting the panel back

Complicated situation as my initial claim was my fault, hitting the front right bumper, etc against the brick/wood trimmed garage surround, but on day 1 of evaluating the front end damage the technicians discovered a misalignment of the rear of my Porsche that was a result of Bri g rear ended on the interstate in passing g Jane at passing lane speeds, a local but different collision repair shop here in Columbia, SC sent my car from Columbia, SC to their facility in Charleston, SC, where they held my car for 9 months, sent it back “repaired”, but I soon discovered that after using the trunk/hatch as I drove down the highway the hatch would just pop open completely leaving me unable to see anything behind me and having bags of groceries, etc, flying out of my hatch! So they had me bring my car back to their Columbia location, and after several weeks proclaimed it was repaired, again, yet the same problem happened literally leaving their parking lot. Then they sent me to their Lexington, SC repair shop and told me to call every 3 months until their regional manager was there to evaluate the situation, by now they had had my car for a year save a few weeks in between locations, and Gerber Collision discovered the bent frame which had been cut apart, not repaired in alignment, then welded back out of alignment, so a second claim was opened by Nationside allowing Gerber to properly repair my vehicle. The front end repairs were compketed On time, and now they’re waiting on a few parts from France? where they have to order parts for Porsches, and then they’ll be finished and hoping that this now 3+ year fiasco will be over thanks to the thoroughness of Gerber Auto Body Repair. They kept me updated daily or every other day and were honest about timing and left the typical auto body repair BS at the door which I was GREATLY thankful for. I’ll NEVER go back to CALLIBER COLLISION NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. Not even for a Big Wheel repair. And that, sirs and madams, is a fact, and not a word of this id exaggerated or fake.
