My check engine light came on from the collision and they said it was fixed. About a week after I received my car the same check engine light code reappeared. I called and spoke with David who said he didn’t keep records of the engine code prior to fixing my car. It’s very disappointing and feels like a dishonest company, why didn’t you keep records of the check engine code, it’s easy to clear the code without properly fixing the issue. Now after paying the deductible I’m not guaranteed the insurance will cover the repair. I pick gerber because it was my first option on the list of available mechanics, it was just my first accident and I learn a valuable lesson in researching and finding a quality mechanic repair. Now I have to take my car into a dealership for a diagnosis and proper repair of the vehicle and pay out of my pocket again.
