I dropped off my car on 5/192.5 weeks before I needed it to be completed for an event on 6/4, and was assured that it wouldn't be an issue and it would be completed by 6/3. on 6/5 I received a phone call that it would not be completed due to a health issue of the painter. I paid my invoice for what was said to be completed for paint and some misc work. I was able to find another source to complete the work in 24 hours, only to find out that the prep work wasn't actually completed that I paid for. I had to spend an additional $1,000 in transport, prep work and completion over the original estimate with no offer of compensation. Since I received this call at 3PM on 6/3, I had to do a scramble to secure another resource and spend the next 4 hours of that evening running all over the PHX area in frantic transit and problem solving. This was for a car event where I was to be there on 6/5 in williams, az. I wasn't able to cancel my hotel which cost another $250 in cancelation fees and I lost my reservation. That caused me to stay 40 miles away incurring additional costs of fuel and a higher hotel rate being last minute. So, all and all, I would love for this to be rectified in some way. I'm not asking for my invoice to be refunded, but a few hundred dollars goes a long way.
