The work performed on the tailgate/bumper was great. However, I requested but didn't receive an estimate to assess/repair cosmetic damage (rock chips, scratches, and a dent in the right front bumper), even after asking 2-3 times. When I got a call from Jacob the week of 10/31 letting me know my truck would be ready on 11/4, I asked again for an estimate - he said he'd work it up and call back with a cost/time estimate. He did call me back and said "we'll perform all of work necessary - rock chips and dent repair - at no cost, but the truck wouldn't be ready "until Tues 11/8 to make sure we have enough time to finish the job." When I picked up my truck on 11/8, the original insurance work looked great, but - despite being buffed out - none of the other work had been done. I called on 11/9 and spoke with Jacob - he said I misinterpreted what he said, but he could give me a small bottle of touch-up paint to cover the chipped paint spots. I'm sure Jacob meant no harm, but it feels he realized he overstepped his authority when he promised to have the additional work done, then had to go back on his promise by suggesting I'd simply misunderstood what he was saying. I'd still use HB&P in the future but would make sure to get everything promised in writing. before giving authorization for work to begin
