Initial repair came loose (glued on items) which required me to travel back to Lexington (40+ miles) for additional repairs.

This was a nightmare scenario from the start. I work in an auto group that has a body shop, but that is in Louisville, so I used this body shop out of "convenience". The lease on my truck (the one that was repaired) was expiring, so I set a date of 6/7/2024 to return it, on 6/1 I was hit by my neighbor. Not to worry, I was told by the body shop on 6/4 that the repairs would start on the 17th and would take up to 10 days to complete. I offered to leave my car at the time of the estimate but was told by Paul that it was not possible. As I work in the automotive service industry I thought that was strange since I would love for my customers to do that. It would have made things much easier for me as I can't just slip away from work to drop the vehicle off, as well as my wife had a scheduled induction for 6/12. Nonetheless, I told him same day that I approved the repairs and for him to order the parts. Fast forward to Friday the 14th, I still have not heard any type of confirmation, so I sent an email, I received a phone call later that day from Paul saying that he missed the email, and asked why I didn't call to confirm. At that point I should have just ended communication with Quantrell and took it to our body shop, however with a newborn baby, I did not want to have to facilitate that. Paul assured me that he would get the parts ordered and let me know. The day the parts were scheduled to be there (6/24) I had not received any correspondence, so I reached out AGAIN, and was told I can drop it off that day. At this point the repair completion date was going to cause me to incur expenses for the expiring lease (another payment, insurance, etc.) When I started the claim, it was made abundantly clear to both Paul and Matt at Liberty Mutual that this was an expiring lease that I was supposed to turn it less than a week after the accident. Matt told me at the initial phone call to send him any type of expenses and that he would get them reviewed. Once I dropped the truck off I sent him the documentation and was denied. The email that I received as the reason is ridiculous, "The vehicle wasn’t scheduled and dropped off until 6/24/2024, unfortunately this is not the shops fault as all shops are several weeks out on scheduling. Vehicle is still in the shop and, we are not responsible for delays in parts. Unfortunately we would not be able to cover the extra payments/costs for the lien." I was not scheduled for the 24th, I was scheduled for the 17th, the delay in repairs was 100% on Paul not ordering the parts the day I gave approval. When pressed farther, the response I got continued to blame me for the delays in getting the vehicle dropped off. Along with a line, "customer did not turn the vehicle back in and transfer the claim to the lease company, which is very common practice." If this was common practice, why was this not communicated at the very beginning? Vehicle was scheduled to be completed 7/5 was not "done" until 7/10. To top it all off, when I came to pick the vehicle up, there were multiple malfunction indicator lights on. Paul was able to get it fixed it the next morning (only thing that was done in a timely fashion) and told me a harness was left unplugged. How was that not seen when the vehicle was parked outside?

Customer Service

I was told it would take 2 weeks and then updated with an earlier completion date. Then sent another text with the original completion date and then told it would be completed a day early. When I called to make sure it was going to be ready that day I was told I'd get a call to schedule pick up. I was called and told it was ready for pickup 30 min before closing for the day. I ended up having to pick it up the next day - the original completion date. After all that the bumper didn't match the color of the rest of the car. When I pointed out there was a problem the rep tried to tell me there wasn't. Like I don't know the color of my own car? I told him it has to match the rest of my car. When he went to speak to his manager he came back apologizing and acting completely different telling me it's not my fault nor the insurance's fault...no duh! He then told me that since I dropped the rental already I'd have to come back on another day so they could work on fixing the paint job. He told me that the following week would be okay to drop the car back off but not on a Monday bcuz it's hectic and that a Tuesday would be best. He asked that I call him Monday or the day before I planned on dropping it off so that he could make sure the rental would be reserved. I called and left a message the following Monday afternoon per our conversation on Friday. He called me back and told me that it wouldn't be possible and how I don't understand how things work over over there. To which I reminded him that I'm only doing as he asked from me. This has been an inconvenient experience. The color doesn't match. The adjuster rep I'm assuming is new bcuz he doesn't seem to know how Subaru paints their cars. There is No Subaru out there with slight color variations between bumper and body - not a single stock Subaru. He speaks in double speech - a bit condescending - I get the feeling of because I'm a woman at a shop I must not know anything feeling.

My Experience

Jason was fantastic. I thought his service was wonderful. I also thought the prices were reasonable and transparent. Thank you.
