They don’t really update the customer often…my car was in the shop nearly a month and never received one call as an update…it wasn’t until I called that I received an update.

I wouldn't even recommend to buy a car from McCombs.

Repair Quality

I have been trying to get the rattling sound fixed on my front two doors fixed since I bought the car in Sep'24. The salesman said they would fix it when I bought the car and that the dealership would cover the cost. The first service worker told me after it was looked at it that it would be an out of pocket cost. He also said the rattling noise was due to the front window not being a Ford window. Then I was sent to the service manager, Phil. He was courteous. He then sent me to Robert at the other McCombs dealership to fix the issue. He said it needed some clips for the side panel. The clips were placed in but that did not fix the issue. They said my car was ready. I still could hear the rattling so they told me to stay in the rental. Then, I was passed onto Jessie another service manager and he took over. Since the problem was still not fixed, they ordered a new panel for driver side door. When I went to pick up my car for a second time. It sounded like it was fixed, but now the problem has come back again. The panels for both the driver and front passenger doors are rattling once again.

Customer Service

I kept getting the run around from both dealerships.

TBD pending on outcome of return visit to address redoing the hood like I was expecting from conversations to start work.

Still trying to workout next steps. I’m not satisfied with repair. I have brought back after dents were still clearly visible (in bad weather). I was told by Victor to bring car back in good weather so it can be looked at again. Dents were not removed before painted and clear shield was replaced. Still see paint shadows and creases were dents were. Disappointed because I thought Red McCombs would be the best place to take my new Toyota.

Customer Service

Staff has been very good from receptionist to floor support.

The repair took substantially longer than expected, the communication was not excellent (promises to call back with no call back), and the paint job was not the best.

Customer Service

The customer service I received left a lot to be desired. Any update I received, I had to call and get. Brian never once initiated contact. When I did speak with him, he'd give me completion dates that later made it obvious he was just pulling dates out of thin air. I dropped my vehicle off on 10/14. The receptionist said he should call on 10/16, but if I didn't hear from him by the next day to give him a call. I called on 10/17 and was informed additional work was needed. He said that would add 7 days to the initial 6 on the estimate, so my vehicle should have been ready by 10/28. He said he'd try to get it to me by the following Friday, 10/25, at the earliest. He never mentioned that a part needed to be ordered. When I finally got ahold of him on 10/28, he didn't have an update. He didn't even seem to be looking anything up. He put me on hold to go put eyes on it. He told me that it was being worked on and would be ready to paint on Wednesday, 10/30 and be ready early the following week, 11/4. Once again, Monday rolls around and I call to check status. The receptionist is reading the notes and doesn't want to give me the completeion date in the computer (11/21) since I'm calling expecting my vehicle to be ready. I was informed that Brian was on vacation and she would have someone else contact me. I next spoke with Cody. The experience with him was different from the beginning. I could tell he was looking things up and trying to make sure he was giving me accurate information. When he went to put eyes on the vehicle, he informed me that the old rear panel had been removed and they were working on the new panel. He said it should be ready to paint that afternoon or the next day. That was news to me based on what Brian told me previously. He also let me know that the rear panel wasn't received until 10/21, which was something Brian never communicated to me. Cody was kind enough to forward me to Chuck's voicemail so I could speak with him about my experience. Chuck and Cody did everything they could to make this right, and said they were going to try their best to have my vehicle ready by the end of the week, 11/8. Cody stayed in communication with me throughout the week, providing updates. And to my surprise, he called me late Friday afternoon to let me know my vehicle was ready; almost 4 weeks after I dropped it off. I know ordering parts change the timeline and delays are out of your control but communication and good customer service are not. Brian being out on vacation was probably the best thing, and I hope to never have to work with him again.
