Star Auto Authority was founded in Glenview, Il. as C&M Auto Service in 1984. After 15 successful years, the company opened a second, much larger (24,000 sq. ft.) mechanical repair facility in 2001 in Vernon Hills, Il. In 2007, the partners separated C&M into two companies and Mike Starovich took the reigns in Vernon Hills. In July, 2008, C&M debuted as Star Auto Authority, Inc. In August of 2011, we added our collision center business to our mechanical services offered, and the collision business has grown rapidly ever since. In 2016, 2000 square feet was added, and in 2017, a separate Star Auto Authority company was born--Star Auto Authority Collision, Inc.which is now about 30% of the total business (70% mechanical). We offer more than 30 loaners, digital inspections, and service and value second to none. Our friendly, experienced staff will treat you like our closest friends and relatives. I think the guys that repaired my car did a great job. I think that it was the front office that was not very well organized. when you pull your car in you would think there would be someone at the desk to greet you. You just stand there and wait and hope someone shows up. I had an appointment Monday morning at 10:00 am to drop off my car. when I got there someone went to tell Chris Farina that I was there. Chris came out of the office and seemed to not know who I was or what I was doing there. I had to refresh his memory on everything that was going on with my car that we had already discussed about the damage, the estimate, and the insurance company. That seemed very strange to me.
