My experience with Toyota of Dallas was mixed. While the body repair quality appeared acceptable, I had serious concerns with the professionalism and conduct of my service advisor Robert Sierra. When I came to pick up my car on May 23, I noticed the hood struts were not functioning. When I raised the possibility that they may have been inadvertently damaged during the repair process, Robert was dismissive. I referenced photos taken on April 26 after the accident showing the hood fully open, which were part of my claim documentation, confirming the struts were functioning when the car was dropped off for repairs. Robert disregarded this evidence, told me the struts would be rejected by Allstate with "99.9% certainty," and insisted on speaking with Allstate directly before taking any action. Rather than investigating the issue internally, he indicated he intended to frame the struts as a pre-existing condition rather than repair-related damage, and confirmed this position in writing via text message. He also told me I would have to pay out of pocket if Allstate rejected them, and said "do not give my guys a hard time" when I planned to return for pickup. His overall attitude, behavior, and statements throughout this process were inappropriate and unprofessional. The struts were only replaced after Allstate's Good Hands Concern Team intervened. Similarly, Robert confirmed twice during phone calls that the loose push-pin rivet on the front fender liner was fixed. It was not. When the Concern Team followed up a second time and Robert was asked to address it, the proper fix required replacing the entire plastic support behind the rivet, a straightforward repair that should have been completed correctly from the beginning. Both issues required external intervention from Allstate's Good Hands Concern Team rather than being handled professionally by the shop. I would not have been able to resolve these issues without their involvement.
