I’m really surprised the manager wouldn’t give me the tiny discount I asked for. I had this shop repair 3 vehicles in the last 4 years for my business, and never had any problems until now.

The bodywork was good, but they left my vehicle a mess inside. My floor mats were not in place, and the door to the back storage compartment was open, with some of the items scattered across the back of the vehicle. Like it had been gone through

It was supposed to take a week, ended up taking 6. I own a business too and understand things happen - but it needs to be communicated to the customer. I had to hound them for updates every 4-5 days, and was never given a solid timeline. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience, the manager said in 30 years he has never done this for a customer. I wasn’t asking them to work for free, I asked him to eat my $500 deductible on a $17,000 job, which comes out to 3%. He made it sound like he’d do it “if that’s what it takes to keep me satisfied”, but then ended up asking me for it when I picked up my car.
