Trubilt Collision Center
In operation 77 years.
Trubilt Auto Body was founded in 1949. It began as a small shop with only two repair stalls, but was quickly established as one of the finest shops in the Chippewa Valley. In 1997 Lynn and Jerry Salter purchased Trubilt Auto Body. The shop is now one of the largest and most reputable in northwestern Wisconsin. We staff, on average, 20 employees while offering 21 repair stalls, two prep booths, one cut-in-booth and one state of the art paint booth. In the fall of 2010 Trubilt Auto Body changed to Trubilt Collision Center and with that came a new logo. While the logo and look of our name may have changed, the Salters are very committed to maintaining the reputation of top-notch service, quality repairs and great customer relations; this is why Trubilt has been the choice of the Chippewa Valley for over 60 years. Then, in the fall of 2018, Trubilt Collision Center expanded its brand to the growing city of Altoona, Wisconsin.

Minor inconvenience. I was told by Luke that there would be no out of pocket cost to me. I was never informed that the insurance company would be reimbursing me for the cost of the repair so when I tried to pick up my vehicle I was charged $800 for the repair unexpectedly.

The final bill that I was to pay came in higher than I expected. I thought the PDR was to be about $175 and the under panel was going to be about $100 ($82.xx in parts and .2 hours labor)the total came to about $418. There was additional charges to access the PDR area that I thought was included in the $175 because the PDR price started at $125 then went to $175. I think the explanation could have been better; clearer as to what the costs would be.

My Toyota Sienna was in their hands for a week and a half, gave me a Ford Focus in exchange (with four kids isn't ideal), and when I went to pick it up at the completion of the repairs the Toyota wouldn't start. (the front desk staff alerted me that often times they will have the vehicle open and it will drain the battery, and it will need a jump- HOWEVER, I was then asked to pay for a new battery, as my battery was now bad...SUPER FRUSTRATING CUSTOMER SERVICE)
