My car broke down 4 days after taking it from the shop, so I have my doubts as to whether they really did a full check of everything

The shop was not very communicative and at times blamed me for this lack of communication (e.g. they said they had been calling trying to reach me when I called them to see what was going on. Going through my call history, they had called me several days prior and not left a message). I didn't really hear from them unless I called, and when I called, things seemed to move whereas nothing seemed to happen between my calls. They were very nice, but I do not trust their dedication to getting the job done.
