The customer should not have to call for major updates, you should be calling the customer to keep them informed. I'm not saying to call daily, but updates.

Most of the time we got great information, but a few times we got completely incorrect info. We were told by the lady who answered the phone that our truck would be done by the end of the week, but when we called again at the end of the week we were told “oh no I don’t know why you were told that. We’re looking at another 2 weeks at least.” Other than that, everyone was great.
