Although customer service was fine, I had made the appointment for the repair with L.B. Smith Ford. I was never notified that Caliber took over. My scheduled appointment was NOT scheduled with Caliber so I had to really push hard to get them to take my car on the day I brought it in. I was told by LBSmith that the repair would take about 5 days. It took 2 and a half weeks.

Mainly due to communication issues.

The work done on the car appears to be excellent. There are two reasons why my rating is not higher: 1. I spoke to the manager about this but it bears repeating. I was originally told the work would take four days and planned for transportation accordingly (borrowing my brother's car as he was out of town). However, when I called two days in, it appeared as if the car had just been looked at. I ended up having to rent a car for the remaining two weeks my car was in the shop. It makes sense that, as the manager said, that 98% of the time that there are others issues discovered (beyond what the insurance adjuster finds) that need to be repaired. Unfortunately, this factor was not communicated to me so I could plan accordingly. I am widowed and care for my 94-year old father. I have little family in the area. No matter who the customer is and whatever their situation, it is critical that all of this information be communicated up front so the customer knows what to expect. That certainly would have helped me. 2. The customer service representative who checked me out (my son was picking up the car so I took care of checking out ahead of time.) charged me for the deductible. The insurance company had reimbursed me for the expected repairs (mechanical and body). I figured that I would owe some of this money to cover the body work that was done. I planned to take care of that when I returned from out of town. However, while away, I received a call from Calliber saying that my car could not be retrieved until this amount was paid. I was able to rectify the situation over the phone but it was still stressful as I thought by stopping by earlier, I had completed the checking out process. My concern is that the customer service representative did not make me aware that there was additional cost (although I was sure there must be) that must be paid before the car could be collected. In the end, I was able to put the payment on my credit card and my son was able to take the car. I feel like this situation could have been handled more efficiently. If the customer service representative had known there would be additional charges when I came in that day, she could have taken my credit card information and completed the transaction when she had the amount saving me the stress of having to deal with it when I was away. While this may not seem like a big deal, I thought I was trying to be proactive by stopping in and taking care of things before leaving but there was still a problem due to a lack of communication/knowledge by the customer service representative. I am not a complainer and communicate these issues in hopes that it may benefit interactions with other customers.

The customer service representatives were very kind but as stated in a previous comment there was a lack of communication with me about how the final payment would be conducted.

I loved that you kept me up to date via text messages, so that I knew when to expect my vehicle to be done. I rarely have used a body shop, but your shop and the way you handle things, gives other shops a lot to live up to. Or should I say work up to. From the moment I went to your garage, got the estimate, and given the date for repairs, you were very prompt with everything. I thank you for taking such good care of my vehicle and if I need a collision service again, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to your shop. Please thank the guys/gals who worked on my vehicle for me. I am very happy and won’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone that needs your services.

I originally set up my repair with LH Smith but between the time I got the estimate and my appointment date, the purchase of the body shop was completed.

Quote was for 1936.43 and you charged me 2,298.03 because the quotes missed a part and extra labor- you received the work because two other shops quoted about the same price- I had no choice but to accept it or not get my truck back. Very upset!!

Nicole’s customer service was 💯. I am very satisfied with the workmanship of the vehicle. There was one minor issue and Nicole handled it very well. Even called me back to tell me she fixed the issue and made sure I was good with it which I was. Thank you.

I would say I had a terrible experience with Caliber Collision. My vehicle was at the auto body for a total of 28 days before some one started on the vehicle. Then the vehicle was done in six days. But when it was returned there was bubbling in the right front fender of the vehicle. The vehicle was held for a total of 42 days I believe. For 28 days the vehicle sat there and four days because paperwork wasn’t done. I was told that the vehicle was too dirty to pick it up on the 29 so it needed to be cleaned. So I took it upon myself to see it on Friday in the lot. I sent my husband in to pick it up on the second and it wasn’t any cleaner so I had to wash it and he was told he had to come back later because none of the paperwork was done. This was very poorly handled. Also, the vehicle is now showing that it is running out when I go over hills, a problem I did not have before taking it to get fixed. So now I have to figure out when the next available time I can go without my truck to bring it back to get the paint fixed in looked over after the shop having it for a total 42 days. As and adjuster, I think this was very portly handled and after I finish what I need to do with Caliber, I will not be using it again.
