I don’t understand why the estimate was $1k but the actual bill was $4k. I only found out when I called my insurance company about the check while my husband was on his way to pick up the car. We should have been notified of the increase before work was even started

Was told car was ready for pickup on Monday, July 22nd. I told the shop I would pick up the car that Friday, giving them additional time to ensure everything was competed and correct. I picked up the car, got home and noticed a run in the paint and the rear spoiler not installed. Took the car back the following Tuesday and had the spoiler installed and the technician messed up the paint. Took the car back a third time to get the panel repainted. Should not have had to return twice to have everything completed correctly.
