"will never bring my car to Caliber Collision in Shakopee again. After hitting a deer at 50 mph, my entire front end was badly damaged. Because Caliber Shakopee works directly with my insurance company, my vehicle was towed there the day after the accident. We got the car back a month later, but the very next day we had to jump start it. We took it to our trusted mechanic, who found the battery was extremely weak. We replaced it on the spot. While inspecting the vehicle, our mechanic asked to see photos of the accident damage. During his inspection, he discovered the AC condenser was cracked — and the crack was clearly visible through the front grille. I immediately called Caliber, and they told me to bring the car back in. Even the adjuster admitted they didnt know why it hadnt been replaced when they had the vehicle for an entire month. Had we not needed a new battery — and had our mechanic not caught the cracked condenser — we likely wouldnt have discovered it until summer when the AC failed. Thats concerning, especially considering they had the entire front end taken apart. It makes me wonder what else may have been missed. They told me to take the car home and that they would call when the new condenser arrived, estimating 1–2 days for delivery and one day for installation. Instead, I had to follow up repeatedly for a week. I was given multiple excuses: invoice received but no part, part arrived but needed inspection, and so on. After a week of waiting, I finally got a call to bring the car in at 7 a.m. the next morning. Once again, I had to calltext at 4 pm they close at 5:30, and it was a Friday to check on the status. I was told we could pick it up at 4:45 pm. I drove the few miles home, parked it in the garage, and didnt drive it again since I primarily work from home. Yesterday was the first time I drove it at highway speed, I immediately noticed the car pulling hard to the left. I turned around and parked it. When my husband called Caliber, we were told that because there was no visible damage to the tires or rims, they did not perform an alignment check. Unbelievable. I hit a deer at 50 mph and they didnt run a full diagnostic or check the alignment At that point, we were done. Ive scheduled an appointment with our trusted mechanic for a complete diagnostic and alignment. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
