When I first talked to the employees about how long it would take I was told "probably 4 days, maybe even five or six." I said Ok, but made sure that the employee knew that I wouldn't have a car while my vehicle was being fixed. On day 5 I called to see how things were looking (it was a Friday and I knew they were closed on the weekend). I was told very casually that it would be done "around mid week next week"(day 10 or 11). I then made sure to let this employee know that I had not had a car this entire time and would continue to not have one (this was a different employee than I had talked to before about not having a car before). I had prepared myself to not have a car for a week (grocery shopping, riding my bike to work, etc) but I hadn't prepared to be without a car quite that long. When I expressed that I was a little frustrated with the timing of it all, I was told that there was some training going on and things took a little longer than expected. I completely get that, but after I had expressed that I would be without a car, I guess I wish that there was better communication about how long it would take and maybe that training didn't almost double the estimated time. On a different note, I felt very judged for the scratches on my car which sounds so silly and maybe it was just to emphasize that they were unrelated to the damage being fixed (and wouldn't necessarily be fixed or covered under insurance). But I said multiple times to employees that yes, my car has scratches on it, I used to work at a summer camp and I frequently take my car on camping trips and that sort of thing. (They are all very minor scratches.) Everybody was very nice but these were just two things that were just a little frustrating
