This was a terrible experience. Our car is still not fixed properly. When I picked up the car, the strike post for the hatch was not adjusted correctly. Luckily I caught that before leaving town. What I didn't catch was that multiple pieces were not installed correctly and are misaligned. The weather strip around the hatch is letting go and there is a tear. I am now stuck with a damaged impact bar instead of it being restored to what it was before the accident, since when we called to ask about this before repairs we had the impression structural components would be replaced. There are ripply bumps in the paint. No responsibility is being taken for letting this car leave the shop like this. We are left to find our own solution and pay to repair this mess out of our own pocket, with a vague assurance we'll be reimbursed. We took the car 5 hours to Orem to get quality repairs with a VW certified repair shop and ended up extremely disappointed and with yet another headache.
