With more than 50 years experience in collision repair and convenient locations in Augusta, GA, Evans, GA, Martinez, GA, Thomson, GA Cushman Paint and Body is the CSRA's premier collision repair center! Founder Jimmy Cushman started his business in a two-bay collision repair shop in rural Columbia County while working as an employee at another body shop. He and a few family and friends restored old cars and painted golf cars for Club Car. Back in those days, special order colors were hand painted and the Cushman team painted thousands. With the support his wife Ann, and a nudge from family members, Jimmy quit his job, put up a big sign on Washington Road and formally opened Cushman Paint and Body in 1988. With help from sons Scott and Edward and Kenny Convington, Cushman has grown into one of Georgia's largest collision repair companies.

I was a self-pay customer and prepaid for the parts on 7/19/24. I didn't hear back from them about scheduling the actual repairs until 8/14/24. Because the number of repair hours was less than 4 hours, I asked if they could be completed in 1 day, as I did not feel I would need the additional expense of a rental vehicle. It did take the whole day, which was fine. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I noticed that the bumper seemed to not be properly aligned with the fender. I asked that the repair be inspected, and it was reportedly done. I took possession of my vehicle at the time because I had no choice as I needed the transportation. I looked at the bumper the next day and it still is not aligned properly.

They took 7 weeks to replace my passenger side door only then they gave me my car back with the tint on the inside of my window scratched the only reason it has a three is because the manager is really nice. Then on my final bill they tried to charge me an extra $400 and some change for a driver side window switch that wasn't broken when we dropped it off. The only thing they did was order a used door and paint it and it took 7 weeks to do and they gave it back to me with a flat tire.
