To whom it may concern: Fix auto in the City of Orange has front office issues and deceitful practices, which after a 20 minute conversation, a look through on my moms car, with diagrams, with exes and slashes, and pictures taken by Coreen Lulet as to the work to be done, the most important part of the fix was the rust spot and leak in the roof top. After receiving the estimate for $5080 my 91 year old mother thought that was a good price for all the work being accomplished because she had gotten another estimate for just the bodywork, Not the rooftop for $2,800. She felt that the extra money for the rooftop was fair price.. she had forgotten her glasses did not read the estimate. The estimate was not gone over point by point by the office staff Verbally. My mom trusted the front office estimate for the reason of the 20 minute conversation that had just occurred, exes and slashes and pictures that had just been taken and signed the contract. During the two week wait period for the car. I got a phone call saying that they found more rust and needed to up the estimate by $480. Assuming it was the rust-on the top of the roof it was agreed to. Upon pick up It was discovered that the roof was not fixed, when asked why, they came back with we couldn’t do it because we’d have to replace the whole roof. When asked why my mother was not informed of this, they told her to read the estimate / contract which that part of the roof fix had been omitted and she signed the contract she must pay. When the new estimate/contract was presented, I, as a spokesperson now for my mom, asked to see the new estimate payment asked about the new charges ($480) it wasn’t rust at all it was for taking bumpers and light on and off for painting and that it was a standard practice, I asked shouldn’t that be included in the first estimate?! Is this Fraudulent?! Not only is my mother out $2500 for the fix, now she must go and find another place to have the rooftop fixed, had she of known they could fix the roof before she signed she would not of.sign it.She would have found another place to do all the work at one time. Now she must Spend more money than was necessary and be without a car for 2 more weeks! I Paulette , a spokesperson for my mother, consider this Fraud. I am dissatisfied with this company 💯 My hope is that they get their front office issues resolved quickly I feel the body work done on my moms car was nicely done However a house divided against itself will not stand..
