Picked up my car from Fix auto body on June 2, 2025, at 5:30 PM. The attendant named, Jake wanted to back my car out to make it more accessible. Given the delayed amount of time, I sensed he was having difficulty starting my car. Minutes later it did start and I left. About a half hour later when I arrived to Fitness 19. That’s when I realized that my ignition mechanism was non functional. I couldn’t turn the key to start my engine. Minutes later, after calling Jake to learn what he did to start it earlier. He suggested manipulating the steering wheel left and right while simultaneously turning the ignition key. That night my wife accompanied me to make another effort to start my car her way. By first putting her foot on the break, and turning the steering wheel to the right, and then turning the ignition key it started. It took a few extra minutes, but it worked. However, since I’ve owned my reliable Toyota Camry, never have I had trouble with my ignition mechanism or keys. I’ll keep you informed about further problems or progress. I no longer have the care free confidence that I have had prior to Fix auto body, for 23 years of starting my car.
