The exterior body work looks great. However, the car has some unknown mechanical problem that began after the accident and was still present after it had been in the shop for a week. They told me it must be due to pre-accident damage to the left bushing or rear brake pads, but everything I described to them is not indicative of the brake pads or left suspension. The sound is clearly coming from the impacted right-hand side—either the wheel well or tire—and it is a rhythmic thumping. The steering wheel also experiences vibrations and looseness following their alignment. They told me they had done everything they could, but the problem remains. I currently have it at an independent mechanic shop. While the body work is great, that doesn’t matter if the car isn’t in safe driving condition. When I picked up the car, the gentleman I spoke to mentioned driving the vehicle back from Discount Tire but didn’t mention any noise. When I returned to complain, he noted that there was noise on the way back. That should have been mentioned upfront rather than me having to discover it myself and hold them accountable.
