I had a really good experience dropping the car off and appreciated the regular updates throughout the repair process. The employees we interacted with were helpful, professional, and friendly. My husband picked up the car today, and unfortunately there are several issues that need to be addressed that did not come up during the walk-through. First, when I pulled up behind the vehicle, I immediately noticed that the tailgate badge lettering on the left side was crooked. When I looked closer, I realized it was also misspelled. It reads "EGDE" instead of "EDGE." While I honestly found it a little amusing, it obviously needs to be corrected. Earlier in the day, my daughter called and mentioned that the car smelled strange. I assumed it was simply an odor from the repair process until I got in the vehicle myself. When I opened the tailgate to put something in the car, I noticed moisture inside the spare tire compartment cover latch so I lifted the WeatherTech cargo liner and found the carpet underneath completely soaked. I continued checking the rest of the vehicle and found that all of the carpets were saturated under the floor liners. They were covered with water and hard standing water and runoff visible on both the tops and undersides. I took photos documenting the condition immediately after pickup. It was mentioned that the windows had been left open because it was hot inside the car but they did not tell him that the interior carpets were completely saturated. The car now has a strong damp odor that was not present when I dropped the vehicle off. Given the extent of the moisture, I'm concerned not only about the odor but also about the potential for mold, mildew, and damage to the carpet padding or electrical components if the interior is not properly dried. I would also like to understand how the vehicle became this wet while it was in the shop. I'm confident these issues were unintentional, and I appreciate your help in resolving them. I'd like to have the following addressed: Correct the crooked and misspelled tailgate badge. Determine how the interior became saturated. Professionally inspect and dry the entire interior, including the carpet padding as needed, and deodorize the vehicle. Confirm there is no ongoing water intrusion related to the repair. We will bring the car back in tomorrow so we can review the issues in person. Unfortunately, the car sat for most of the day after it was picked up and I did not see the car until I returned from work at 7:30pm.
