My Experience

Great explaination on work to be done, excellent real-time status, and perfect finish and gaps. And, the paint is perfect. The manager of the shop is terrific.

My Experience

I had to file an insurance claim for my Cherokee after it was hit in a parking lot, and I was honestly dreading dealing with the whole insurance process. But when I took my car to Gerber Collision & Glass, it turned out to be such an easy and stress-free experience. Jake and the team handled everything quickly and efficiently, explained the entire process clearly, and kept me updated with text messages throughout. My car was finished sooner than I expected, and the quality of the work was excellent. Great quality work and exceptional staff.

My Experience

There are still visible damages from the hit and run to my vehicle. There is also now white specks and residue on my car that won't come off. Looks like it might be paint.

After I first brought my car in I discussed all of my concerns with Ben, including the driver's side mirror and rear quarter panel. When I got my car back the first time the 2 items above were not addressed, there was white stuff all over my car/embedded in the rear exterior textured trim, and Ben could not confirm whether the alignment was checked (this was a concern because my front driver's side wheel was hit). I brought my car in yesterday and Gerber paid for a rental car for me to drive while they addressed the 4 items above (mirror, rear quarter panel, white stuff, alignment). I got my car back today and there is still white stuff embedded in the trim. The mirror still has a scratch, although now it is smaller, but it is still visible and rough to the touch, and there are a bunch of imperfections in the paint, as if there is something under the paint. You can see and feel odd bumps, and the paint around the bumps almost appears to have a drip like effect. My husband confirmed that all of these issues are present, unlike Ben who has consistently attempted to brush aside my concerns. I am beyond displeased with the quality of work on my vehicle, and with way I have been treated by Ben. Every time I have spoken with him he has been dismissive of my concerns, with the singular exception being when he called me after my last poor survey result. On that call he was very professional and apologetic, but when I followed through with his suggestion to call him early the next week to schedule a time to bring my car in, his response to me telling him I was calling to schedule the time to bring my car in was literally, "Okay......" Then, when I dropped my car off yesterday he said they could fix everything "in 5 minutes," and completely ignored the agreed upon alignment check until I insisted that the adjuster wanted it done. And when I was waiting for my rental car yesterday he was storming around the shop and letting every single door slam behind him. I have owned many cars over the last 25 years, and had a fair amount of work done in that time. This is my first time ever complaining about the quality of work done on my vehicle. I don't understand the lack of concern over your work product, or the desire to not find and repair ALL of the insurance claim related damages. Considering how difficult it was to get the obvious visible damages all addressed, I am now not confident that a thorough inspection was completed. I am concerned there may be additional damages that I can't see and Gerber didn't bother to look for. And I haven't even mentioned how the receptionist initially tried to not let me drop my car off because she "didn't have my information" (not sure why she can't ask for it?), told me they'd call me when my car is done and then proceeded to NOT call me when my car was done (the first time), and then pretended to have the wrong number for me when i asked why i wasn't called when my car was ready (Gerber had texted me a repair status link and called me multiple times on my correct number before this interaction). I have no desire to speak to Ben or anyone at the Main Street location ever again, as I have lost all confidence in their desire or ability to do a good job. But if someone at corporate would reach out to me, that would be wonderful.
