My Experience

I took my car in for body repair work on the passenger side door and bumper. My car was at Caliber from January 31-February 13 and didn't start repairs until February 7. My car ran perfectly fine when I dropped it off and only needed body work done. When they brought my car to me, the person who brought me my car started off saying that when they got the car the Check Engine light was on. I told him that was not correct. He said that it was and I assured him again that it wasn't. Then he tried to find a picture of the Check Engine light from the Appraiser but couldn't find one. So then he changed his story to when they ran their test, the Check Engine light came on and proceeded to tell me that a rodent made a nest in my engine and chewed some of the wires and made it sound like that it must have always been there. I drove my car every day before dropping it off and never had an issue. I drop my car off at Caliber and it sits outside for more than a week and now there's a nest discovered in the engine. Now my car spudders very bad and won't shift above 2nd gear. Now I have to to have my car towed to a shop and pay ANOTHER deductible and Caliber refuses to admit that this damage happened on their property. I will be writing about this situation on social media and review boards. I let my Insurance company who recommended Caliber know of this as well. Even though I only needed body work done, which was done correctly and could have been left at that, I ended up leaving with a car that needs serious engine repair and can't be driven until those repairs happen. My experience with Caliber is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a car repair shop.

I took my vehicle in to have some body repair done and when I picked up my vehicle, they tried to tell me that my check engine light was on when they got my vehicle. I told them that it wasn't and the person tried to tell me that the check engine light was on. Once I told the person again that it wasn't and they couldn't find a photo from the appraiser that showed the check engine light on, the person revamped his story and said that once they ran their test, the check engine light came on. Then they proceeded to tell me that a rodent made a nest in the engine and chewed up some of the wiring and that it was probably in there when I dropped off my car. Caliber had my car for 13 days straight and didn't even start repairs until they had the car for 7 days. I drove my car every day before handing my car to Caliber and had no problems. When I pick my car up, a rodent had gotten into my car, chewed up some wiring, and now my car won't shift above 2 gear and spudders very bad and they didn't re-attach the engine cover. I can't drive my car until repairs are done and Caliber refuses to take responsibility. I now have to open another claim and pay another deductible for something that was 100% caused by Caliber or at least on their property. I will not be taking my car back to Caliber and will be giving them horrible reviews on review boards and social media. If Caliber would either pay for repairs or at least pay my deductible, I would be more at ease and not review them so badly because their body repair was good. I am very dissatisfied with Caliber. They have caused me for financial burdens when all I needed was body repair done.
