"Overall, Im satisfied with the quality of the repair. The team at Caliber Collision clearly knows what theyre doing. The workmanship was excellent, and my car was restored professionally. You can tell they are experts when it comes to repairing and restoring vehicle damage. The only area where I think theres significant room for improvement is the after-repair process, specifically how insurance payments are handled. Before my car was sent to Caliber Collision, the other drivers insurance communicated directly with the shop. I wasnt involved in those discussions at all—I was simply instructed to drop off my car so the repairs could begin. The problem started when it was time to pick up my car. The other drivers insurance became uncooperative, and I ended up dealing with the issue myself. As a customer, I assumed Caliber Collision would have more experience and better processes for working with insurance companies than the average person. However, once they couldnt reach the insurance company, it seemed there wasnt much more they could do. While trying to resolve the issue, I contacted my own insurance company. They informed me that Caliber Collision had already received a Change Request CR from the other insurance company, which appeared to be the authorization to begin repairs. Unfortunately, having that authorization didnt guarantee payment, and I ultimately had to file a claim through my own insurance just to get my car released—even though I was not at fault. I was told that Caliber Collision couldnt force the other insurance company to respond. However, when my own insurance contacted them, they were able to reach the other insurance company almost immediately. That made me feel there could have been more that could have been done before putting the burden on the customer. I understand that Caliber Collision is a repair shop, not an insurance company. However, this part of the customer experience is important. Most people rarely deal with car accidents and dont understand the claims process. Having a stronger process for confirming payment or helping customers navigate insurance issues before repairs are completed would make an already excellent repair experience even better. I would still recommend Caliber Collision for the quality of their repair work, but I hope they continue improving the post-repair insurance process so customers arent left handling complicated insurance issues on their own."
