Confusion about when vehicle would be ready

Service was unable to get a confirmation on when my vehicle was ready. First I was told on Sept 12, then Sept 16, then Sept 12. Also a part was not replaced and now I have the car, they are ordering the part and I'll have to go back to finish the job.
