I absolutely would NOT recommend Caliber to any one that I care about. Disappointed with the overall experience. I have never left a bad review in my life until this one and the one I am leaving for my insurance company as a result of this experience. Here is the long and short of it- the auto accidents are down overall, your shop even acknowledged that things have been extremely slow. My insurance adjuster was counting on a final quote from a body shop to determine whether the truck would be repaired or totaled. I walked around the truck with Frank and we discussed the damages and the plans forward. He suggested insurance would give me a new bumper despite the previous damage to the other side. We also discussed the hood damage as well as tailgate issues, to which I provided pictures from the accident. When he wrote up the quote he left many of this things out. Obviously if he came in too high and the insurance company totaled the truck, that would be work the body shop wouldn't be receiving. Then when it came time to make right on something as simple as a tailgate handle, the ladies in the office made me contact the insurance adjuster because he wasn't nice and was tough to work with. Then there was a mad scramble to complete the work within the month...which always leads to corner cutting. The only person losing in this deal now is me. Caliber got some work out of the deal and my insurance company got out of paying for all of the repairs to my truck. I called the office back today and expressed that I wasn't happy with the gap and unevenness of the body lines where the hood meets the fender. Julie told me I was welcome to come back and they would look but they would never let a truck leave the shop that they weren't satisfied with. She might as well have said "don't waste your time". Initially my relationship with Caliber started out just fine but at this point I wouldn't take another vehicle to a Caliber collision facility if it was the last body shop left in WI.

My vehicle was in for repair as the result of a 75mph deer collision to the drivers side. Due to COVID-19 the insurance adjuster never came out to see the truck, he only looked at pictures and was counting on Caliber to provide an updated quote. When I dropped the vehicle off I met with Frank at the Oconomowoc location, and we discussed the damage. When I got the call to come pick up the truck about 3/4 of what we discussed was repaired. I noticed in looking at the final quote/bill they didn't even include a few of the items we discussed in the walk around. Primarily the crease/dent in the drivers side of the hood and the front bumper. The front bumper had pre-existing damage to the passenger side, but also had a new dent from the deer collision on the drivers side. Frank made the comment that I was lucky there was some damage to the drivers side of the bumper as it would result in me receiving a whole new bumper. We agreed that there was a trim piece above the bumper that was cracked on the passenger side I may have to pay for out of pocket. When the deer hit the truck it pushed the quarter panel and drivers door in and as a result there was a new crease/dent in the hood of the truck directly in the line of sight from the drivers seat. This was not present prior to the deer collision. We discussed it as well, and that remained unfixed/left off the quote. The body work that was actually completed is of decent quality.

Terrible. I got daily text updates that I asked them to stop but did not. There was rush on the Caliber's end to finish my truck prior to the end of the month. My understanding was that was due to billing purposes. When the truck was finished at noon on the last day of the month, I was hounded for my deductible payment over the phone, to which I declined and was met with a disgruntled "well I guess you can pay when you come pick it up tomorrow". At one point throughout the process of the repairs, I was required to call the insurance adjuster myself and request a supplement for a tailgate handle for the truck because Frank left it off the original quote and the people in the office felt that my insurance company was being tough to deal with. The box was twisted in the accident and the tailgate was down when I hit the deer and it curled the bumper up into the tailgate. Due to the twist in the box and damaged tailgate the handle broke. That was made clear, but left off the estimate and I was then required to call insurance because Caliber staff didn't want to deal with it.

First of all Julie was simply amazing!!! She kept me updated on the process and progress of the repairs of my vehicle. She is a 10+ . My dad was a body repair man growing up so I know the details of what goes into a repair! I’ve never had an accident before so it was nice that things ran so smoothly for me. I didn’t get to meet any of the repair employees but they obviously keep your front end staff completely in the loop and gave great communication! Both front end gals were awesome that I had contact with. First point of contact is what keeps people coming and referring others. Which I would definitely do. So thank you all for doing such a great job!
