Jim Guthrie, owner and first technician of Car Crafters, started a body shop in his parent’s garage as a teenager. After filling up the cul-de-sac with cars, Jim’s parents told him to focus on college or find a shop and move out of their garage. I was very satisfied with how my claim was handled and the repairs were excellent. I was accommodated at every turn. I have just one beef. When I was waiting for them to bring my car around, I observed one of the service men go into an office and come out with a red plastic box. It took a while to get my car and then the same guy left the motor running while we talked. Later that day, my battery went dead and I had to go to some trouble to get a jump. I realized the red box had been a jumper. I know the condition of the battery was not Carcrafters fault, but they could have let me know there was a problem, and avoided all the trouble I had later.
