I had a very disappointing experience with CARSTAR Body Shop. I brought my BMW in for repairs after damage to the hood and left side, and I clearly informed them about a “low beam malfunction” warning on the right side. They inspected the vehicle and provided an estimate that included repair of the light, so I proceeded with the work and paid my $500 deductible. However, after picking up my car and returning home, the same low beam malfunction warning appeared again. When I contacted them, they told me they never repaired the light because insurance would not cover it. This was never communicated to me at any point during the process. If I had been properly informed from the beginning, I would have chosen a different repair option and avoided additional costs. I then contacted my insurance company, and they confirmed that the body shop did not report anything about the light issue. They advised me to get it repaired at BMW and submit the bill. When I called CARSTAR again, they apologized but said the car would need to be sent somewhere else for inspection—and that I would have to pay again. This is unacceptable. I already paid my deductible, and now I’m being asked to pay additional inspection costs due to their lack of communication. I strongly do not recommend this shop. I trusted them because of their association with insurance companies, but my experience was misleading and unprofessional.

It was a great experience from start to finish. I especially appreciated the way they continued to send texts to keep me updated on the progress on my repair. Everything was done quickly and efficiently and got me back to business in a timely manner! my repairs were also done at a very reasonable rate in comparison with other body shops I have dealt with in the past. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future for any necessary repairs.
