Work had to be redone due to poor quality. Customer required adjustments. There is no QC in the shop.

We brought our Volvo in for a minor bumper repair based on our insurer’s referral and had a very poor experience. After drop-off, Chris could not provide any estimate for completion. It took several days for Chris to respond to basic email check-ins, and even after a couple of weeks he still could not give a timeline. After about a month, we were told the car would be ready on Friday. When we called that day, we were told it was not ready and would have to sit over the weekend. We picked up the vehicle and, on the drive home, noticed the rear wing window (tinted so difficult to notice) was shattered—likely while the car was in their possession over the weekend. Chris initially suggested it was an attempted break-in while the car was on their lot. He later changed his explanation and claimed it must have happened after pickup. However, we contacted the shop within about an hour of leaving, and the vehicle had not been parked or left unattended. Based on the timeline, the damage occurred while the car was at their facility, but you have not taken responsibility. Customer service and communication were poor throughout. The bumper repair appears acceptable, but the overall experience was not.

Work seems to be completed adequately. It would have been nice to have a summary explanation by a repair representative on what was done as an added value customer service experience

The repair to my vehicle was very good. The time for the repair was a little excessive -- about five weeks.

I'm on the fence here, repair quality seems high but my car went into a black hole for three weeks without updates and without a confirmed finish date. that made me unhappy.

Repair quality seems to be excellent

I was not kept informed of the progress of my repair, I had to ask and even then, was not given specific information. This seems like a decrease in customer service vs. Queen City Auto Rebuild.

It took 6 and a half weeks to finish, even though they told me it would be 2 weeks.

I was very displeased with my service because, despite them running into issues communicating with my insurance and themselves. It took a total of 6.5 weeks to complete a front fender job. The front desk worker would also be annoyed at the frequency of my calls, calling every third day just hoping for any type of update other than the technician will call you back, even though they won't. Very poor communication skills about what was happening with my car. When I got out of my car, the car battery was dead, and I had to spend my own money on top of the price I paid at a Safeway to get batteries for two, which was nearly $13 which I had to walk 2 miles to get them. When I was on the phone with their technician, he said he would send me some on Amazon. I got an email an hour later telling me how cheap they are and what batteries to buy, even though they said they would buy them for me.

The reality is it depends on the car. There are businesses that can do solid work but when it comes to a special make and model, I would only trust Tobey at Crash Champions.

I am so impressed with Crash Champions—I never expect a complex repair/claim involving insurance to go smoothly and our experience was not only completely free of hassles but our car has been restored fully.

Tobey and his team communicated so clearly and concisely—friendly and understanding but serious in tone and execution. Tobey’s expertise is rare and it is the only thing that matters when you need work done properly on an expensive vehicle.

had 3 different reps... communication of updates was horrible! I was told the job should take 12-15 days,it 2.5 months! and it still wasn't right. Did not start getting any movement until the general mgr took over a month into the job.

I’d give zero if I could. I dropped my car off on February 2nd for a simple hood replacement. I got it back on March 19th — 45 days later. Parts arrived February 17th. They broke a component during installation, reordered, and never called me. I had to call every few days just to get any update, and every time I was told “we’re prioritizing your car.” When I picked up the car, the rep accidentally showed me a photo proving the bumper wasn’t even painted until mid-March — nearly a month after receiving the parts. The excuses were endless: “we’ll have it by end of week,” “maybe tomorrow,” “the snow caused a delay.” Because of this I had to reschedule flights and plans repeatedly, all while being without my only car and paying out of pocket. If they had just been honest once about the timeline I could have planned around it. The GM verbally offered a rental in the last week — too little, too late. I asked for a reduction instead. He never said no, then dodged it on pickup day. A request to fix minor rim scratches as goodwill was also ignored. Zero proactive communication, no accountability, and vague promises that never materialized. Would not recommend.

Customer Service - Either they had a new front desk person who didn't know how to research information or they had someone who is there quietly quitting, making it difficult for everyone else.
