South Carolina harbors no love for Elon Musk. Electrification is anathema to a state which once saw human labor as an asset. And so, when West Ashley’s Better Collision agreed to accept my dented Model 3, there was some trepidation. Our Tesla technician, Ora, stands six-foot-four and greets you with an engulfing handshake and a warm smile. That lock of hair fighting to escape his head makes you gracious youth is both fashionable and temporary. Over the next few weeks, he’ll be charged with restoring to perfection, the world’s richest man’s eccentric vision. Via email, he will communicate every step of the process - parts in, dents fixed, in paint, software update, test drive, detailing. Imagine your sibling updating you on her gestation and you get the idea. The final days come with a phone call to say, “your car is ready.” Upon arrival, you’re given a medical-chart-like receipt detailing everything Ora touched. Then he appears. He offers his giant hand with an authentic, “Thank you!” and the sort of paternal advice about car maintenance that makes you think he might have an uncomfortable crush on the Model 3. He is also quite patient and willing to answer innumerable stupid questions from any Tesla driver - apparently. That Better Collision provided Ora with his own space, specifically for Teslas, speaks to his superior level of service. This is the kind of car care that promises stock rises and EV ubiquity. Thank you Better Collision, and Ora. for a fantastic experience. While we hope we never have another wreck, we know you’ll be there for us if we do.

This the second vehicle they have fixed and the results are perfect. I'm a bit OCD re cars and there was only one small flaw noted and it was fixed on the spot.
