We had an appt w/ Jack for an estimate on our 2007 Trailblazer. We recently acquired it from family and noticed a loud “wind tunnel” noise. We also noticed that the passenger door was sticking on the front quarter panel when opened and making a loud noise, causing the door to feel heavy. It was cosmetic but when driving freeway speeds, that wind noise was annoying! We got our estimate of approx $750 and thought given the low mileage it was worth investing. The initial plan was to replace both door hinges on the passenger side. We dropped off the car on Weds and they were finalizing things on Friday. To our surprise, they found a MUCH cheaper fix to the problem and only had to replace the pins in the door hinges. This caused the door to no longer rub on the quarter panel and the noise, disappeared. The front desk gal and our estimator Jack were awesome and we would highly recommend Gerber to anyone else looking for an honest company. They could have proceeded and changed out the hinges to solve the problem (costing us a lot more) but instead, our cost with tax was only $215. That kind of exceptional customer service, and repair expertise matters when you are looking for a quality and a reputable body shop. I took my car in Wednesday morning for repairs and was told it might be a couple of days before I get it back but I was very surprised and happy when they called and said it was done just hours later. The staff are very friendly, I’ll definitely use them again if needed.
