I was assured by a tech last Thursday that my vehicle would be ready no later than Friday, and I would receive a call when it was completed. I had to call the shop myself by mid afternoon Friday, at which time I was told that the vehicle was not ready and likely would be done Saturday morning. Again, I did not receive an update call and I had to call myself mid-morning on Saturday, at which time I was told that the crew did not finish the work Friday evening and they would not finish until Monday. All of this happened after originally being told the work would take 3-4 days (having dropped off the vehicle early the previous Monday morning) . My wife picked up the vehicle yesterday and paid the charge, not knowing that the final invoice was 14% higher than the estimate originally provided to me. I never was contacted by Gerber to alert me that more work would be needed vs the original estimate and therefor the cost would be nearly $200 higher. I understand that some jobs may require more work/time than estimated, but it was a big failure to never alert me to that fact or disclose that to the person picking up the vehicle and being asked for payment. Overall, this was a poor experience. Please contact me for more details.
